all the little things

One of the most passionate and beautiful pleas for tolerance in relationships (which is actually the secret to a long-term relationship) comes from Dan Savage, a syndicated sex columnist who happens to also be openly gay.

Well, he’s not just openly gay, he’s also in a long-term relationship with his boyfriend (possibly marriage, if allowed where he lives) and has at least one son. He is however famous for giving the name Santorum a new meaning.

santorum

Here it is:

[Dan Savage on The Price of Admission] [Good Will Hunting (What do you really want)] [Good Will Hunting - Park Scene] [When Did You Know?]

His diatribe is eerily similar to that of the shrink in Good Will Hunting. There, the shrink is trying to convince Will that he’ll never get to experience the forest if he gets constantly stuck at the trees stage. I can’t find the speech I want in a clip above, but you might find it in the list below.
