A recent study done by Maydianne Andrade and Jeffrey Stoltz of the University of Toronto found that some ugly Australian spider female will devour the male after copulation UNLESS the male courts her first for 100 minutes.

I couldn’t help thinking of George Michael and his “Fast Love” song. He’d never make it as a spider..
